- Construction Project 678-318, Special Procedures Unit & ED Urgent Care B38 & B50. The Southern Arizona VA Health Care System (SAVAHCS), 3601 S. 6th Avenue, Tucson, Arizona, intends to issue a solicitation requesting proposals to completely prepare site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures, and furnish labor and materials and perform work for: (1) 17,000 S.F., 3rd Floor addition (Medical Procedure Unit) on top of Building 50. Patient Services on the 1st and 2nd Floor shall remain in operation. (2) Remodel of 1st Floor Building 38 South to accommodate CHAMPVA, related Pulmonary Testing, Clinical Decision Unit and Staff Support Functions. and (3) Selective remodeling of 1st and 2nd Floor Building 50, Emergency Department. Anticipated issue date of the solicitation is on/about April 20, 2010. Solicitation responses will be due in the Contracting Office on/about June 1, 2010, at 2:00pm local time. There will be no public proposal opening. Telegraphic, email, and facsimile proposals are prohibited. This project requires the offerors to secure bonding. All offerors shall be registered and verified in the www.ccr.gov, www.vetbiz.gov, and https://orca.bpn.gov/. This procurement is 100%set aside for Service-Disabled, Veteran-Owned, Small Business (SDVOSB). The NAICS code is 236220. The associated size standard for this procurement is $33.5 million dollars in average gross annual receipts for the preceding three years. Project Magnitude: Between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The proposals will be evaluated and award shall be made utilizing the Best Value method under FAR Part 15. Offerors are advised that award may be made without discussions or any contact concerning the proposal received. Interested parties are strongly encouraged to attend the Pre-Proposal Conference/Site Visit scheduled for Saturday, May 15, 2010, 9:00am local time, at SAVAHCS, 3601 S. 6th Avenue, Building 4, Conference Center A, Tucson, AZ 85723. A Saturday scheduling is required to accommodate all interested parties access to the project areas. All interested parties are strongly urged to attend as there will only be ONE Pre-Proposal Conference/Site Visit for this project. This is subject to change at the discretion of SAVAHCS and any change will be posted on www.fbo.gov. Interested parties shall contact A.J. Davis, Contract Specialist, to indicate their interest in attending the Pre-Proposal Conference/Site Visit. Request in the form of an e-mail message to aaron.davis@va.gov must be received by the Contracting Specialist no later than Wednesday, May 12, 2010, by 2:00pm local time and include the number of expected attendees.
