- Description
- The Defense Distribution Center, New Cumberland has a requirement for a Contractor to provide all labor and material to perform rewarehousing actions for mission stock utilizing the Distribution Standard System (DSS). This facilitates the 2005 Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) mandated requirements to improve storage capacity, as the depot transitions to a Strategic Distribution Platform (SDP). DDWG serves as a stock point for DLA and service owned material in support of both local and worldwide customers. DDWG provides immediate support to both industrial and war-fighting customers. Direct support is provided for the various mission units assigned to Robins Air Force Base. Functions to be performed will have Government and contractor employees working in the same area, performing same or similar functions. The estimated award date for this requirement is 12 May 2010. The resultant contract shall consist of a base period of one month phase-in (14 May 2010 - 13 June 2010), an eleven month full performance period (14 June 2010 – 13 May 2011) and a seven month option period (14 May 2011 – 13 Jan 2012). This requirement will be solicited as a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set Aside in a full and open competition after the exclusion of sources. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be posted to this site the week of March 29, 2010. Amendments to the solicitation will also be posted to this site. Prospective offerors are cautioned concerning their responsibility to access the website for any amendments that may be issued under the solicitation. Amendments may be issued up until the proposal due date. Failure to acknowledge amendments may render your proposal ineligible for award. Interested offerors are encouraged to use the “Register to Receive Notification” function to register as an interested vendor. The Government intends to award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror using the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) Source Selection Procedures. Proposals shall be evaluated for acceptability only and shall not be rated. Award will be based on the lowest evaluated price of proposals meeting or exceeding the acceptability standards for the non-cost factors. The non-cost factors shall include a Technical Proposal and Past Performance. These will be used to evaluate proposals. All non-cost factors shall be evaluated on a “go/no go” basis. If a proposal has been determined acceptable (“go”) under each of the non-cost factors, the proposal will then be evaluated for the lowest price. NOTE: All offerors MUST be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database at http://www.ccr.gov or an award cannot be processed. The solicitation will identify all information that the prospective offeror must submit in order to be considered for award. Failure to submit all the information requested by the solicitation may result in the proposal being eliminated from consideration for award.
