Description
THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL The Administrative Office of the United States Courts (AOUSC) is considering establishing a Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC) with The MITRE Corporation to provide independent and objective engineering and technical support for modernization of nationally supported information technology systems and applications. Over the past four years, MITRE Corporation has supported the AOUSC under the IRS-sponsored Center for Enterprise Modernization, providing a wide variety of technical support/expertise that has not been readily available from the private sector. This technical support/expertise includes architecture integration, data communications network architectural design and modeling, specific security framework analysis, case management/electronic case files (CM/ECF) next generation architecture, and collaborative software development model. It is anticipated that the center will provide services related to strategic planning, systems engineering, security and information protection in tasks related to design, architecture, configuration, integration, infrastructure of systems and applications and related technology which will enable the AOUSC to implement and maintain the highest level of services for the courts, litigants and the public. The center will be able to offer the enterprise familiarity and objective expertise available from an FFRDC that is not otherwise available within the AOUSC or by contract in the competitive marketplace. The period of performance for the center will be five years with an estimated value of $6 million per year. This is not a request for proposals, however, interested parties may submit comments within 10 days of the posting of this announcement.
