- Hydraulic System Auxiliary Pump RFI Addendum 30 March 2010 Concerns voiced by industry have driven more description to the RFI dated 16 Mar 2010. Power constraints for the AC: • The APU drives a 25 KVA 3 phase 115 vac generator that supplies 217 amps to the A/C for ground use • A/C power cart supplies 72 KVA 3 phase 115 vac for ground use Hydraulic constraints for AC: • Mule provide 3000 PSI to one stage of hydraulics at 22 GPM • Aux Hydraulic pumps provide 0.76 GPM Provide options that fit within the constraints of the KC-135 aircraft. First option would comprise of using APU power distribution without removing current hydraulic architecture. Second option would use the KC-135 power cart for power distribution without removing current hydraulic architecture. Third option would allow for innovation by industry, meaning within the constraints of the KC-135 and keeping the current AC and DC hydraulic pump configuration, what is the maximum allowable capability industry has to offer to the government.
