- This is a PRESOLICITATION SYNOPSIS for commercial supplies and services prepared in accordance with the information in FAR Subpart 12.6, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures under the test program for commercial items found at FAR 13.5, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes a PRESOLICITATION SYNOPSIS only; a written Request for Quote (RFQ) will be issued on a later date. PAPER COPIES OF THIS PRESOLICITATION SYNOPSIS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. This is a 100% Small Business Set Aside procurement action. The FISC Norfolk Groton CT Office requests responses from qualified sources capable of providing and installing new beverage bars, salad bars and renovation of serving lines for the Cross Hall Galley located at the Naval Submarine Base New London, Groton, CT. Specific details and additional information will be listed in the RFQ. The contractor shall commence work performance within 30 days of contract award and shall be completed not later than 30Oct10. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 423850 (Service Establishment Equipment and Supplies Merchants Wholesalers). The Request for Quote (RFQ) document will be available for download on or about 09Apr10 at the following websites: https://www.neco.navy.mil/ and www.fbo.gov. Potential vendors are hereby notified that the solicitation and subsequent amendments to the solicitation will ONLY be available by downloading the documents at the above web sites. This office will no longer issue hard copy solicitations. By submitting a quote, the vendor will be self-certifying that neither the quoter nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any federal agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusal to accept the quote. Through its submission, the vendor acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be actively registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award, during performance and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation, except for award to foreign vendors for work to be performed outside the United States. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make a vendor ineligible for award. Vendors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 1.866.606.8220, or via the Internet at https://www.bpn.gov/ccr/.
