- FBO Pre Solicitation Synopsis Exercise Room Mold Mitigation and Renovation This alterations project is for the Exercise Room at the Burlington Federal Building in Burlington, VT. Site Visit Walk Thru is scheduled for Thursday, April 15, 2010 at 11:00 AM, at 11 Elmwood Avenue, Burlington, VT. Synopsis: This project is to perform alterations which include, but are not limited to the following disciplines, areas, and tasks. Mold mitigation: The removal and mold abatement of approximately 25 linear feet of wall, mitigation to include complete mitigation procedures including negative air enclosure system. Area of mold is approximately 25 square feet. Construction: Repair and replacement of all areas effected by mold mitigation, including replacement of ceramic tile up to existing 4'height on wall removed. Removal of drywall ceilings from 6 shower stalls and replacement with water repellent materials, replacement of suspended ceiling tiles in entire space, replacement of a door, installation of air vents in 5 doors, painting of entire space, small assorted wall repairs. Plumbing: Includes replacement of 6 shower fixtures, 4 sinks, and faucets, restoration or replacement of 3 bathroom stalls. HVAC: Includes, repairs to Exhaust system duct work to eliminate leaks, replacement of roof top exhaust fan system, connection of exhaust fan to building Energy Management System, rebalancing of entire space to provide proper air flow with exhaust system, and fan coil heat system, replacement of all supply and return diffusers. Electrical: Relocation of a light switch to move to an alternate entry door, restructuring of lighting switches to include occupancy sensors, minor work to accommodate wall reconstruction and new exhaust system. Flooring: Refinishing, repair, and sealing of existing tile flooring. Work will also include any items in space that require moving to accommodate work. Items can be relocated in space, or a temporary storage space will be provided for the contractor. Entire space is approximately 2000' square feet consisting of an exercise room, 2 locker rooms, 2 shower rooms, and 2 restrooms. This procurement is 100% set aside for small business. Estimated cost is between $25,000 and $100,000. The solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps on or about April 13, 2010.
