- This is a request for information (RFI) / SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS. This request is not a solicitation, request for proposal, request for quotation or an obligation or notice of intent to issue a solicitation in the future. This request for information is in support of market research. The Directorate of Contracting, Fort Carson. CO is seeking to identify potential repair sources for Peltor brand headsets and obtain information on current capabilities within the commercial market. This synopsis is for planning purposes only and is NOT to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited hereunder. All costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the responding party's expense. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked PROPRIETARY will be handled accordingly. Proprietary information will be safeguarded in accordance with the applicable Government regulations. Proprietary information or trade secrets should be clearly identified. Fort Carson is considering an acquisition for repair service of Peltor Headsets, model number MT15H69FB-19. The total estimated quantity is 400 headsets. The proposed service shall require the vendor to diagnose headset malfunctions, repair headsets and return the headsets to a like new condition. The service shall also include replacement of cracked, dented, deformed and distorted components to include ear cups. The vendor shall be required to obtain all required repair parts. The use of surplus or used parts/material is not acceptable. Offerors responding to this sources sought market research notice must: (1) state whether they are a small or large business, and indicate if their company is a small disadvantaged, woman-owned business, veteran owned, 8(a) firm, historically black college or university or minority institution (HBCU/MI), Service Disabled Veteran Owned, or a historically underutilized business zone (HUB Zone) small business (2) provide written information describing their technical capabilities to repair the Peltor headsets. Offerors may also furnish Fort Carson with commercial literature/brochures and warranty information. Describe any awards you have been involved in which is for this same or similar service. Include any other pertinent information which will enable the Fort Carson to assess your firm's capabilities (3) Provide point of contact information to include telephone numbers and email addresses, (4) provide your CAGE and DUNS and (5) an estimate of the time required to diagnose and repair each headset.
