- All bidders should acknowledge the following amendments in block #19 on the SF1442 (page two of the solicitation): 1. 3-10-2010 (clarification of bid opening time and bid opening location) 2. 3-24-2010 (posted revised drawings, site visit log, and answered vendor questions) 3. 3-26-2010 (revision of bid opening date to April 9, 2010 at 2:00PM) 4. 3-29-2010 (statement of bid opening location, the opening will occur in the Directors Conference Room (room 4A061) on the fourth floor.) Any future amendments should also be acknowledged. The bid due date is April 9, 2010 at 2:00PM. Public Bid Opening Date, Time, and Location: April 9, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. The opening will take place at the Chalmers P. Wylie VA Ambulatory Care Center, 420 N. James Road, Columbus, Ohio 43219-1834. Participants shall enter the building at the main entrance of the facility, at which time they will register for a day pass at the front desk. The opening will occur in the Directors Conference Room (room 4A061) on the fourth floor. A revised solication document has been attached which includes the updated bid due date, and bid opening information. This requirement is to provide all necessary labor, materials and equipment to expand the men's and women's bathrooms on the first floor of the Chalmers P. Wylie VA Ambulatory Care Center (VAACC), 420 N. James Road, Columbus, Ohio 43219-1834. Work shall include demolition of space, plumbing installation, HVAC and electrical work, and finishes. All work shall be done in accordance with the Specifications and Drawings. SET-ASIDE INFORMATION: This solicitation will be issued pursuant to the authority of Public Law 109-461 (38 USC 8127) and is a 100% Set-Aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). The SDVOSB must be small under the relevant North American Industrial Classification Standard (NAICS) code and MUST be registered and able to be verified in the following websites: http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov, https://www.bpn.gov/ccr/default.aspx, https://vets100.vets.dol.gov, and http://orca.bpn.gov to be eligible for award. Bidders MUST ensure registration in these websites are accurate and have not expired prior to bid opening date. Project magnitude is between $100,000.00 - $250,000.00. The NAICS code is 236220 and the business size standard is $33.5 million. BONDS in form of Bid, Payment and Performance will be required. SITE VISIT: See 2.7 of the Solicitation. Site Visit is Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. The solicitation documents will be posted at https://www.fbo.gov/ on or before April 1, 2010, with bid opening approximately 30 days later. Dissemination of the specifications is limited to electronic medium. Specifications and Drawings will be available electronically with the solicitation documents. All interested Bidders (primes & subcontractors) should register at https://www.fbo.gov/ so that others will know of your interest in participating in this procurement and for automatic receipt of updates or amendments. A Bidder's mailing list or site visit attendees WILL NOT be prepared nor distributed by the Contracting Officer, as it is the Bidders responsibility to register at the https://www.fbo.gov/ website in the watchlist and interested vendor sections. SOLICITATION AMENDMENTS: Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at https://www.fbo.gov/. Paper copies of the amendment will NOT be individually mailed. By registering in the watchlist and any other appropriate sections, you will be notified by e-mail of any new amendments that have been issued and posted. No other notification amendment will be provided. Bidders are reminded that they are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging all amendments to this solicitation prior to the time for receipt of offers as prescribed by FAR 52.214-3 Amendments to Invitation for Bids. Bidders should re-visit the Website periodically to look for updates. All requests for information are required to be in writing to the Contracting Officer and shall be received within 10 days prior to bid opening; no telephone inquiries will be accepted.
