Description
The Naval Medical Logistics Command intends to negotiate on a sole source basis (IAW FAR 13.1) with Mallinckrodt, Inc. 675 McDonnell Blvd, Hazelwood, MO 63042-2379, as the only responsible source that can provide factory authorized service maintenance as the original manufacturer of the equipment. Mallinckrodt is the only vendor that can properly maintain proprietary Mallinckrodt Inc equipment. Service and maintenance contract for: Hydravision DR System Maintenance Agreement Based on the above information, the only technically acceptable maintenance is provided by Mallinckrodt Inc. This acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures. There are no set-aside restrictions for this requirement. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 811219 with a Small Business Size Standard of $7.0 Million. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for this requirement. However, parties interested in responding to this notice shall submit past performance information to include point(s) of contact and phone number(s) to verify experience with the manufacturer’s equipment specified above, technical data, including cost, sufficient to determine capability in providing the same product. All capability statements received within 07 days after publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Service will usually be performed in Pensacola, FL 32512. Capability statements shall be submitted by email only as a MS Word or Adobe PDF attachment to Christina Boyd-Brown at christina.boyd-brown@med.navy.mil. Statements are due by 4:00PM (Eastern Time) 06 April 2010. No phone calls accepted.
