Description
Colville National Forest, Six Mile and Wilson Culvert Replacements. The Three Rivers Ranger District on the Colville National Forest located in North Eastern Washington State has a requirement for replacing two existing culverts. The project is located in Stevens County, Washington State. The sites are approximately 9 to 11 miles from Chewelah and 50 miles from Spokane, Washington (Sections 24 & 27, Township 33 North, Range 41 East). The Contractors shall furnish all management, labor, equipment, supervision, tools, materials, transportation, operating supplies, supervision, workman’s compensation, unemployment insurance and incidentals necessary to perform the work in accordance with the specification and provisions of the contract. The project consists of the construction of two steel corrugated pipe arch culverts on Forest Service Road No. 9517000 at mile post 4.59 and on Forest Service Road No. 4300015 at mile post 1.16. The project involves the removal of the existing pipe arches and replacing with new 103” span by 71”rise pipe arch culverts. Improvements consist of, but are not limited to, diversion of the streams, structural excavation, reshaping of the channel inside and outside of the pipes, placement of riprap, installation of corrugated steel pipe arches, embankment and excavation of roadway approaches and road surfacing. In-stream work shall be completed between July 16st through August 31, 2010. The project completion date is September 30, 2009. The project is estimated between $100,000 to $250,000. A bid guarantee will be required. The awarded Contractor will have to provide both payment and performance bonds. This project will be advertised as a written request for proposals. Estimated issue date of the solicitation is on or about March 30, 2010. Proposals are estimated to be due April 30, 2010. The actual due date will be listed in the solicitation. The solicitation will be posted on this site. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for HubZone small business concerns. NAICS code is 237990 size standard is $33.5 million. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered. An electronic copy of the solicitation will be posted at this site on the issue date.
