- RECOVERY - FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. This is not a request for proposal. The opportunity to submit offers is closed. The General Services Administration (GSA) Great Lakes Region announces the project for Entry Doors Replacement at the Hart Dole Inouye Federal Center in Battle Creek, MI may be funded in whole or in part with Recovery Act Funds. The intent of the project is to replace entry doors at the Hart Dole Inouye Federal Center at 50 N Washington Avenue, Battle Creek, MI. The project includes, but is not limited to: replacement of six sets of double-doors and one revolving door. The new revolving door shall be automated and controlled by a security card reader. The project also includes the replacement of existing concrete stairs with new concrete stairs, landing and guardrail. The duration of the project is 150 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. The Contractor working hours shall be generally established to occur during Government occupied hours. Construction work that may cause disturbances to the Government’s activities shall occur during non Government occupied hours. The estimated price of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000.This procurement is unrestricted in accordance with the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program and open to all business concerns. NAICS is 238290 with a size standard of $14 million. This is a negotiated, best value procurement. Proposals will be evaluated on past performance and price. A pre-proposal conference is tentatively scheduled for May 12, 2009 (actual information will be contained in the solicitation).The solicitation will be available on or about May 01, 2009 (actual date for receipt of proposals will be stated in the solicitation.) Offerors will be responsible for downloading the solicitation from FedBizOpps and for monitoring the same system for amendments and/or additional information. Small business concerns, including HUBZone, veteran-owned, service-disabled veteran-owned, disadvantaged and women owned businesses are encouraged to submit proposals. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency.
