Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13 (Simplified Acquisition Procedures) and Subpart 12.6 (Streamlined Procedures for Commercial Items), as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; the solicitation number is W911RZ-10-T-0057. The government intends to award a Firm-Fixed-Price Contract for wood grinding services at Fort Carson, CO. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 113310 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-38. This solicitation will end on 31 March 2010, 10:00 a.m. Mountain Time. Quotes received after this time will not be considered. The Contractor shall propose the following Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINS): CLIN Item Total Amount 0001 Wood grinding services in accordance with the statement of work $______________ Statement of Work For Wood Grinding and Removal Fort Carson, Colorado 1.Scope of Work: The contractor shall grind approximately 6,000 cubic yards of material. The wood shall be ground and the wood chips shall be transported off-site to be recycled. The Government will provide access to the site. All equipment and trucks must enter through gate 3. 2.Requirements: The Contractor shall meet the following minimum requirements: a.Use mobile equipment with the capability to grind 75 - 100 cubic yards of wood per hour. Grinding shall take place on site at Fort Carson b. Experience and ability to handle and shred wood pallets, crates, dimensional lumber and tree limbs. c.The Contractor shall have a valid license to grind and haul this material. 3. Performance Period: It is estimated that the work can be completed on-site in five to seven days using an industrial sized portable grinder. The period of performance shall be no longer than seven days and shall be complete prior to 21 April 2010. The contractor shall quote the exact performance period and coordinate those dates with the Contracting Officers Representative. SITE VISIT: A site visit has been scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Friday, 26 March 2010. Participation is limited to two individuals per contractor. Reservations must be made by contacting Amy Franklin at amy.w.franklin@us.army.mil or 719-526-0813. All parties will meet at the Directorate of Contracting, 1676 Evans St. Bldg. 1220, 3rd fl receptionist area. The group will leave at 1:00 p.m. to visit the site. All individuals will require a valid drivers license or government identification card, all drivers of vehicles will require proof of insurance and registration. The Government intends to evaluate offers and make award without discussions; however, this does not preclude the Government from having discussions if it is in the best interest of the Government to do so. All responses must be received by 10:00 a.m. Mountain Time on 31 March 2010. Quotes received after this time will not be considered. Quotes may be e-mailed to amy.w.franklin@us.army.mil.
