- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, streamlined procedures for evaluation and solicitation for commercial items, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued using simplified acquisition procedures, and is identified as Request for Quotations (RFQ) 1070279. This is a full and open competition. This solicitation document incorporates all applicable provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-39. The Food and Drug Administration intends to award a purchase order to register 250 persons to attend the 2010 Food and Drug Law Institute Annual Conference on April 22-23, 2010 at the Hilton Washington Hotel, Washington, DC. Prospective offerors are responsible for downloading the solicitation and any amendments. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the FedBizOpps website for the release of any amendments to this solicitation. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 813920 and the size standard is $7M. The Government reserves the right to award a contract without discussions and award will be based on best value. CCR: Vendors must be registered in the Central Contractor Register (CCR) prior to the award of a contract. You may register by going to www.ccr.gov. You will need your Dun & Bradstreet number and banking information. QUOTATIONS DUE: All quotations from offerors must be emailed to: zetherine.gore@fda.hhs.gov. Quotations must include the proposed unit price registration fee and the proposed total price for registration of 250 attendees. Quotations must also include a detailed explanation of events, sessions, and any accommodations included in the quoted registration fee. Quotations must be received by Monday, March 29, 2010, 2:00 p.m. local time. No phones calls will be accepted. ANTICIPATED AWARD DATE: The anticipated award date is March 30, 2010.
