- Description
- The United States Coast Guard, Surface Forces Logistics Center, Oakland, CA, proposes to contract the unscheduled dry-dock and repairs of USCGC HICKORY (WLB-212), a 225 FOOT Seagoing Buoy Tender, home ported in Homer Alaska. All work shall be at the contractor's facility during the period of 9 April 2010 through 15 April 2010. A Geographical Restriction is the West Coast of the United States. The scope of the acquisition is for dry-dock & repairs to the USCGC HICKORY (WLB-212) include but are not limited to: To conduct seal renewals on both the forward and aft thrusters. Potential Controllable Pitch Propeller (CPP) System seal renewal upon inspection and test by Ship's Force when in dry-dock. All welding and brazing shall be accomplished by trained welders, who have been certified by the applicable regulatory code performance qualification procedures. On or about March 26, 2010, a Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available electronically at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. This procurement is HUBzone small business concern Set Aside. The NAICS code assigned to this procurement will be 336611 with a size standard of less than 1,000 employees.
