- Sole Source Justification The DeltaVision system is a very sophisticated piece of equipment that enables investigators to make observations that cannot be made by conventional fluorescence microscopy. It is very important to maximize the use of this expensive piece of equipment as the number of investigators who use it has increased steadily. In addition to the increase in users, this system is being used for more sophisticated types of experiments like multi-point long-term time lapse. A service contract is required to reduce downtime and allow users access to new software upgrades. Replacement parts and repairs are prohibitively expensive without a pre-arranged service contract. Applied Precision equipment must be repaired, calibrated and cleaned by certified Applied Precision technicians. No other company can provide Applied Precision certified service and parts.
