- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (I) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (II) Solicitation W912JB-10-T-5010 is being issued as a Request for Quotation. (III) This solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses for commercial items in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-37. (IV) This acquisition is set aside 100% small business. The associated NAICS code for this acquisition is 423440, standard industrial classification is 5046, and small business size is 100 employees. (V) The Combined Synopsis/Solicitation is W912JM-10-T-5010. This is a firm fixed price type contract for line item#: (1) Portable etcher/marker with a column and base option, 1 Ea., (2) Portable etcher/marker, column mounted, 1 Ea., (VI) Both line items shall have the following salient characteristics: electromagnetic dot stylus which does not require separate air supply, operates on 110 VAC power, has the ability to mark 2-D codes, and is able to mark characters from.025 inch to 1 inch. (VII) Shipping is FOB Destination to: Battle Creek, MI 49037. Delivery schedule is required. (VIII) The provision, in its latest edition, at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors, Commercial, applies to this acquisition. (IX) The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: 1) technical capability of the item offered to meet the Government requirement which is primarily to mark hand tools with handles made of various grade metals, soft handles, and hard plastic handles. Please make affirmative representations that the product being quoted is currently in use for such application, and provide specifications or the steps involved for such use, and any necessary adaptations for optimal use of marking hand tools; provide price list of consumables and warranty; 2) price, and 3) past performance. (X) Offerors must comply with FAR provision 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items. (XI) The following clause in its latest edition applies to this solicitation: FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items.
