Description
The Boise (Idaho) U.S. Veterans Administration Medical Center is seeking one or more contract physicians that are Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology. To ensure the continuity of services, this will not be an agency locum tenens contract, but will be a contract directly with a local and established physician group in the Boise, Idaho area.The contract physicians must be located within a 15 mile radius of the Boise VA Medical Center to ensure response for emergency procedures within 30 minutes; and must be skilled in clinical gastroenterological and endoscopic procedures, including diagnostic and interventional procedures. The primary duties are to perform outpatient/inpatient GI consults and procedures. All work will be performed at the VA Medical Center, Boise, Idaho. Work hours: At present there are endoscopy clinics set for Monday all day at 0800 to 1630, Tuesday 1/2 day clinic at 0800 to 1200, Wednesday 1/2 day clinic at 1300 to 1630, Thursday full day clinic at 0800 to 1630, and Friday full day clinic at 0800 to 1630. This totals to 8 half day clinics. There is a possibility that procedure numbers may increase, resulting in a possible increase of clinic hours. Non-working hours: Monday through Friday, 4:30pm to 8:00am and all Saturdays, Sundays and National Holidays. This contract does not have on-call requirements. Therefore, there will be no on-call pay for contracted GI physicians. The anticipated start date of this contract is May 01, 2010. The contract will be for an initial period of one year, ending April 30, 2011. Multiple extension options are provided through fiscal year 2014. This solicitation will result in a Firm-Fixed Price, non-personal services healthcare contract, with room for economic price adjustment.
