- Description
- RECOVERY - PER FAR 5.7 THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY; THEREFORE FAR 5.203 DOES NOT APPLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY WAS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTOR(S) UNDER THE CURRENT CONTRACT NUMBER(S): Sevenson Environmental Services, Inc., W912DQ-04-D-0023-000812 This contract action was not awarded as a fixed price type because uncertainties involved in contract performance did not permit costs to be estimated with sufficient accuracy to use any type of fixed price contract. As such, a cost-reimbursement type action was awarded (FAR 16.301-2). RECOVERY THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY, THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE TO THE CONTRACTOR UNDER THE PRE-PLACED REMEDIAL ACTION CONTRACT (PRAC) BASE CONTRACT FOR THE EXECUTION OF THE HAZARDOUS, TOXIC, AND RADIOACTIVE WASTE (HTRW) / ENVIRONMENTAL MISSION OF THE U.S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS (USACE) NORTHWESTERN DIVISION (CENWD). MODIFICATION TO EXISTING TASK ORDER. The Kansas City District of the USACE has awarded a modification to a task order using American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funds on contract W912DQ-04-D-0023. This project was originally competed under solicitation number DACW41-03-R-0068 and awarded to Sevenson Environmental Services (CAGE: 0LT07). This modification to a task order is in the amount of $758,000.00. Procurement of a Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) task order modification was selected as the best method of having significant flexibility for responding to conditions that are unexpected, such as encountering contaminants or concentrations of contaminants that would result in changes to the planned field program, unknown buried materials, and unknown volumes of investigation derived waste. Additionally, the USACE project team is capable and prepared to provide monitoring of contractor performance to mitigate risks and to ensure that all alternatives have been considered. The project team is also able and has experience to monitor the task order modification to ensure that performance, cost and schedule goals are being met, including but not limited to: implementing quality assurance procedures established for the contract, and completing timely contractor performance evaluations that accurately reflect the contractors actual performance.
