- The government intends to issue Invitation for Bid for a Firmed Fixed Priced Contract for the replacement of a high voltage cable 15 KV between Substation 1B1N to 1B2S switch on Watervliet Army Arsenal, NY. This cable supplies electricity to Manufacturing and Production building therefore coordination of work days and power outages will be highly regulated and coordinated. Magnitude of the project is between $25,000 and $100,000. The NAICS code is 238210 with an associated size standard of $14,000,000 average annual revenue. The procurement will be Full and Open Competition, all firms are allowed to submit proposals. The complete solicitation will be available online on or about 31 March 2010. This solicitation will be issued electronically, therefore hardcopies will not be provided. Copies will be available, free of charge, on website Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) at https://acquisition.army.mil and will be listed under Contract Office, Watervliet Arsenal. It will be also available online at the Federal Business Opportunities website: www.fbo.gov under the reference solicitation number W911PT10B0003. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above Internet address in order to obtain any amendments that may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for receipt of offers may render your offer nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same. Proposals will be due approximately 30 days later. Instructions for bid submissions will be provided in the solicitation. Requests for solicitation documents by telephone, fax, or email will not be honored. A site visit will be conducted about 5 days after issuance of the solicitation. Site visit information, date, time and meeting location will be posted in solicitation.
