- RECOVERY - This proposal outlines a cooperative applied research project betweenNASA-Ames Research Center (ARC), Science Mission Directorate, Earth Science Division,Biospheric Sciences Branch and the University Corporation at Monterey Bay (TheCorporation) on behalf of California State University Monterey Bay (CSUMB) to carry outwork to be supported by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009,focused on application of NASA technologies to extend the Terrestrial Observation andPrediction System (tops) to provide a protype platform for community modeling and dataanalysis. Research Scientists, Adjunct Facility, and Tenure-Track/Tenured Facilityassociated with the Division of Science and Environmental Policy (DSEP) at CSUMB proposeto conduct joint cooperative research with the NASA Biospheric Sciences PrincipalInvestigators for the NASA ARRA task titled TOPS Collaborative. The proposed researchand technology development proposed under this agreement will deploy virtualizationtechnologies to build a community-focused data and modeling collaborative based on theTerrestrial Observation and Prediction System (TOPS).
