- The presolicitation synopsis posted 25 January 2010 is replaced with the following: In accordance with FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, the Government intends to issue a solicitation restricted to BAE Systems Survivability Systems, LLC, 9113 Le Saint Dr., Fairfield, OH 45014-5453. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation will be for a one-year requirements contract, in accordance with FAR 16.503, for up to 15,100 in any combination of the following: - Battery Powered Motorized Traversing Units (BPMTUs), BAE part numbers 6438564 and 6435433. - Generation II BPMTUs (G2MTUs), BAE part number 6453010. - G2MTU Retrofit Kits, BAE part numbers 6452810 and 6453031. - Gear Ring Assemblies, BAE part numbers 6453009 and 6453030. The above components are used with the Objective Gunner Protection Kit (O-GPK), used on the High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) models M1114 and M1151, Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicles, and MRAP All-Terrain Vehicles (M-ATV). FOB is Destination and may include shipments to Rock Island, IL; Watervliet, NY; and Chambersburg, PA. Estimated solicitation issue date is 9 April 2010. A U.S. Government Technical Data Package (TDP) is not available for this procurement action. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the internet: https://aais.ria.army.mil/aais/SOLINFO/index.htm CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same.
