- Description
- The VA Medical Center in Coatesville, PA is seeking professional A/E services to for Emergency Chiller MEP Connections, Project No. 542-09-117. The consultant shall provide all architectural and engineering services as defined to accomplish complete contract drawings, specifications, technical reports and cost estimates. This project will remove the existing three (3) condenser water pumps and replace with new, provide all the necessary modifications to the existing chiller mechanical system to install piping and fixtures to the exterior of Building 17 to accommodate a rental 500 Ton Chiller in case of an emergency. Also included in this project is to provide all the necessary electrical modifications to support the emergency rental 500 Ton Chiller, which shall include a new distribution panel, all necessary conduit, wiring etc. This project shall include all necessary demolition, mechanical, electrical modifications for a complete and functional system.A/E Services to include site investigation and verification of as-built drawings, drawings and specifications, cost estimates, construction period services and site visits. A/E will provide 50% design submission, 90% design submission, and final submission. The work shall meet all applicable VA design criteria and construction standards. The estimated construction budget is between $250,000 and $500,000. The area of consideration for this acquisition is restricted to firms within 150 mile radius of the VA Medical Center in Coatesville. The A/E shall have 90 days to complete the design. Interested firms must submit two (2) copies of SF330 with appropriate documentation to Contracting Officer (542/90C), VAMC, 1400 Blackhorse Hill Rd., Coatesville, PA 19320 by close of business Monday, July 13, 2009. NAICS 541330 applies. This is not a request for proposals. This procurement is set-aside 100% for emerging small business concerns. See numbered note 24.
