- Red River Army Depot intend to issue a solicitation that will result in an award to Replace Baghouse Collections Systems. The dust collection system will be installed at building 336. Red River Army Depot is located approximately 18 miles west of Texarkana, Texas on Interstate 30. Building 336 was built in 1984. The structure is an all metal building that house the three boilers and their associated systems, which supply steam to the industrial complex of RRAD. The boilers provide steam by burning both wood and coal. The baghouse/dust collectors are positioned outside of the building on the south side. The work will include but is not limited to the contractor providing all labor, material equipment, and controls to remove 3 each existing baghouses, structures, controls and foundations (if required) to provide for the turnkey supply, installation services and complete mechanical, electrical, civil and structural work to install three (3) new state of the art, complete and fully operational baghouse/dust collectors and associated control systems. Duct work will include ash removal piping, and shall be replaced to within 5 feet of the south side of building 336. Catwalks, ladders etc. shall be provided to all maintenance related items (ie, valves etc.). The supplied equipment shall interface and be completely compatible with the boiler operations. A formal solicitation is expected to be issued on or about April 5, 2010. A single award will result from this solicitation for use at Red River Army Depot only.
