Description
Army Compatible Use Buffer (ACUB) FFP This contract will support the Army's interests in the Sandhills and SERE Course area, and will include an individual to serve as the liaison between the Ft. Bragg range and training personnel, USASOC, USFWS, the AEC, and local property owners. The contractor will have access to and operate from the Conservation Center that houses the USFWS, TNC and Sandhills Area Land Trust (SALT) Staff and Bldg 2-1731 DPTM HQ's. The contractor shall support efforts in the region to sustain the Sandhills population of the RCW through conservation of populations and expanding their range on private lands and preserve the training mission of the USASOC SERE and other training courses. The primary objective shall be to coordinate with officials at Ft. Bragg and to facilitate the successful completion of the acquisition of conservation encumbrances on private lands in order to sustain the RCW population and reduce incompatible land use that impacts Military training in the project areas. A secondary objective is to coordinate long-term land management and data management issues on private land between Ft. Bragg and AEC. An important example of the work to be accomplished under this agreement is to assure that soldiers have access to land, while being compatible with conservation objectives. Individual shall use knowledge of the local area, Fort Bragg?s training mission and method of execution, and natural resource conservation to identify and prioritize parcels of land for acquisition IAW PWS.
