Description
This REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) number M67854-10-T-3027 is being issued by the Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) to gather information in support of a procurement for a Platoon Field/Limited User Evaluation Kit. This kit will provide simulated weapons, munitions and communications that are exact in size and weight to those that are currently organic to the Marine Infantry Rifle Platoon. This kit will allow for accurate load and portability assessment of fielded and concept systems by providing items that are exact in size and weight. A solicitation may be issued on the basis of responses from this notice. The NAICS code is 339999 - All Other Miscellaneous Manufacturing. This is a Request for Information only; no proposals are being requested at this time. Information contained in this notice is subject to change. MARCORSYSCOM is interested in a Platoon Field/Limited User Evaluation kit consisting of poly resin, solid cast, durable, inert blue in color, simulated weapons, munitions and communication devices indigenous to the Marine Infantry Rifle Platoon that possess exact dimensions and weights of the representative systems (see attachment). This is a non developmental procurement. No Product Demonstration Models of the required systems will be provided by the Government. Interested parties must be able to demonstrate they possess the capability to provide the required items from a Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) product line within 90 days After Receipt of Order (ARO). Responses to this (RFI) must include pricing for each item, clear, full-color photos and clearly legible, detailed specifications of the requested items, as well as whether or not the items would be ready for delivery to the Government within 90 days ARO. Responses shall also clearly state the ACTUAL MANUFACTURER of the items listed, as well as business size status and CAGE Code. All requested information shall be submitted electronically to the Contract Specialist at elizabeth.booher@usmc.mil no later than 2:00 PM EST on Wednesday, 31 March 2010. Interested parties shall submit ALL questions in writing to elizabeth.booher@usmc.mil no later than 2:00 PM EST on Wednesday, 24 March 2010. No phone calls will be accepted. Any additional information regarding this effort will be posted on the internet at the Federal Business Opportunities website located at the following address: http://www.fedbizopps.gov, and the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) website at http://www.neco.navy.mil.
