- PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: The VA National Acquisition Center intends to issue Request for Proposal (RFP) VA-797-10-RP-0073, for an unrestrictive procurement for Timolol Maleate and Levobunolol HCL Solution, for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Department of Defense (DoD), Indian Health Service (IHS) and Bureau of Prisons (BOP) and all option 2 state Veteran Homes. The estimated annual usage of Levobunolol HCL is as follows: GROUP 1: 819 bottles of 0.25% Sol in 5ml; 890 bottles of 0.25% Sol in 10ml; 11,684 bottles of 0.5% Sol in 5ml; 10,190 bottles of 0.5% Sol in 10ml; 3,828 bottles of 0.5% Sol in 15ml. The estimated annual usage of Timolol Maleate is as follows: GROUP 2: 16,314 bottles of 0.25% Sol in 5ml; 4,808 bottles of 0.25% Sol in 10ml; 2,405 bottles of 0.25% Sol in 15ml; 86,478 bottles of 0.5% Sol in 5ml; 64,589 bottles of 0.5% Sol in 10ml; 29,979 bottles of 0.5% Sol in 15ml; GROUP 3: 11,702 bottles of 0.25% Gel in 5ml; 132,104 bottles of 0.5% Gel in 5ml. The items must be awarded in an aggregate for each group, for continuity of care and patient safety. The contract period will be for one year plus four pre-priced one-year option periods. The contract items will be distributed through the VAs' and DoDs' respective Pharmaceutical Prime Vendor Programs. Offerors must state the exact name (name that appears on label) by which the drug will be supplied and have a unique NDC number. All bottles must be individually based with a barcode on the outside of the box. Outer package must be compatible with automated dispensing units found at CMOPs (A Frame, etc.). If the offeror is not a manufacturer, a signed agreement between the offeror and the manufacturer must be submitted stating that the manufacturer will provide this product to the offeror and the agreement shall remain in effect for the duration of the contract period including the option years. Solicitation No VA-797-10-RP-0073 will be electronically issued in commercial item format in accordance with FAR Part 12 on or about April 16, 2010 with a closing date of April 21, 2010. The NAICS code for this procurement is 325412. Any future amendments and other miscellaneous documents will be available electronically for download at the following URL: http://www.fedbizopps.gov. No paper copies of the solicitation will be available, and no telephone requests for paper copies of the solicitation will be accepted.
