- The United States Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center intends to issue a Commercial Request for Quote (RFQ) for the Drydock Repairs of the Coast Guard ANT VENICE (CG 55108), a 55 Foot AIDS TO NAVIGATION BOAT. The acquisition will be set-aside for Small Businesses. The Coast Guard intends to conduct the procurement in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items and Subpart 13.5 - Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The acquisition will be issued as a Best Value, Request for Quote (RFQ), on or about 25 March 2010. This Requirement will be evaluated using past performance as an evaluation factor. The standard industrial classification code is 3732 and the NAICS is 336611. All work will be performed at the contractor's facility. The performance period will be Forty-Five (45) calendar days with a start date on or about 24 May 2010. Geographic Restriction Applies: The vessel is restricted to an area no greater than 200 nautical miles from the ANB's home station, on navigable waterways and no more than 20 nautical miles off shore. Home Station: Coast Guard ANT VENICE, 4023 Main Street, Belle Chasse, LA 70037. The RFQ will be issued via the Federal Business Opportunity (FEDBIZOPS) web page at https://fbo.gov. It is incumbent upon contractors to monitor the FEDBIZOPS web page for the RFQ release and all subsequent amendments. FEDBIZOPS contains an option for automatic notification service. The scope of work for this acquisition is but not limited to: Welding Repairs - Flat Plate Renewal (Aluminum); Welding Repairs - Overlay (Aluminum); Welding Repairs - Crack (Aluminum); Welding Repairs - Fill Unused Holes in Buoy Deck Grate Frames <CSMP-2009008>; Perform Ultrasonic Thickness (UT) Shot Inspection; Perform Additional Ultrasonic Thickness (UT) Shot Inspection; Air Test Voids; Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Rub Rail; Renew Stern Fendering System; Renew Shear Bar Rail Section; Renew Engine Room Insulation; Remove, Inspect, & Renew Forepeak Bilge Chocking (Chockfast) <CSMP-2009001>; Renew Overboard Discharge Piping <CSMP-2009002>; Realign Main Engine-Reduction Gear to Shaft <CSMP-2008002>; Remove, Inspect and Reinstall Propeller Shaft(s) ; Remove and Reinstall Propeller(s); Renew Sea Valves <CSMP-2009004>; Inspect and Overhaul Duplex Sea Strainers; Renew Fuel Valves; Clean and Inspect Exhaust Piping System(s); Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Rudder(s); Renew Potable Water Pressure Accumulating Tank and Piping; Clean, Inspect and Disinfect Potable Water Tank; Preserve Potable Water Tank (100%); Clean and Inspect Grey Water Holding and Sewage Tank; Clean and Inspect Fuel Service Tanks <CSMP-2009006>; Renew Strut and Stern Tube Bearings; Routine Drydocking; Provide Temporary Logistics; Inspect and Test Air Receiver and Renew Relief Valve; Preserve Underwater Body-100%; Composite Labor Rate; GFP Report; and Laydays Trained welders who have been certified by the applicable regulatory code performance qualification procedures shall accomplish all welding and brazing.
