- Description
- Design/Bid/Build Project for an Army Reserve Center (ARC) in Winder, GA. Construction of an approximately 42,000 square foot (SF) Army Reserve Training Center (ARC); an approximate 7,300 SF operations maintenance shop (OMS); an approximate 2,400 SF unheated storage building (UHS); parking spaces for 140 privately owned vehicles (POV); and approximately 22,000 square yards (SY) for military equipment (MEP) parking. The location of the new ARC is in Winder, Barrow County, Georgia. Construction shall also provide complete associated supporting utilities, storm drainage, communications, electric, HVAC, CATV, Security, Mass Notification Systems, fire protection, paving, POV Parking, walks, curbs & gutters, access drives, exterior lighting, security fencing, site improvements and landscaping. Facilities must comply with DOD minimum antiterrorism force protection construction standards. The estimated cost range is between $10,000,000.00 and $25,000,000.00. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 236220, with a size standard of $33,500,000.00. THIS PROCUREMENT IS SET-ASIDE FOR 8(a) COMPETITIVE. This project is a single phase Design/Bid/Build Best Value procurement. This process requires potential offerors to submit their performance and capability information for review and consideration by the Government. Potential offerors also are required to submit their technical and cost proposals for consideration by the Government. The basis for award is Best Value. Evaluation criterion includes Prime Contractor Experience, Past Performance, and Price. Site visit information will be provided in the solicitation document. The construction cost limitation of this project is $11,400,000. Offerers are under no obligation to approach this ceiling. The period of performance is approximately 490 days. The proposal due date is on or about 5 May 2010, 2:00 p.m. (Eastern Time). Project documents will be available on or about 5 April 2010 by download from the Internet only.
