THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY ISAVAILABLE ONLY TO GILBANE BUILDING COMPANY, UNDER CONTRACT NNJ08JC50C FOR FACILITIESPROJECT MANAGEMENT AND ENGINEERING SUPPORT SERVICES (FPMESS) AT THE NASA JOHNSON SPACECENTER (JSC).JSC issues task orders under this existing contract to procure FPMESS/Design andPost-Design Inspection in support of the placement and administration of Cross AgencySupport (CAS) construction contracts authorized under the American Recovery andReinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009. FPMESS provides design and post-design support such asoversight, inspection, and field support services for construction projects; constructionmanagement services; pre-project planning services; total building commissioningservices; Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited professionalservices; and office engineering/special engineering services.JSC intends to issue firm fixed price task order #144 under the existing contract toprovide the following services for ARRA construction projects at JSC:- Coordinate contractor activities across all ARRA-funded projects to ensure maximumintegrated performance- Develop and maintain a master schedule, primary and contingency work plans- Interface with customers (building occupants) to ensure awareness and coordination ofrepair activities considerate of mission, test, and other constraints- Coordinate Closeout DocumentationThe period of performance of this task order will be March 17, 2010 through September 30,2010. Task Order #144 will be identified as Contract Line Item Number 48 in the subjectcontract and will be incorporated by modification 39 to the contract.The FPMESS contract award was made on a competitive basis.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.This announcement will not result in a Request for Proposal; this announcement is forinformational purposes only. All questions and/or concerns must be submitted in writingto points of contact contained herein.An Ombudsman has been appointed. See NASA Specific Note 'B'.
