- THIS IS AN AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA) PROCUREMENT. The resulting contract will utilize funds provided by the AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA) OF 2009. Interested parties are notified that the inclusion of unique provisions required in implementing the Act, including those for significant reporting and transparency, will be required of the successful quote. The purpose of this announcement is to make notice that the Forest Service contemplates releasing a Request for Quote numbered AG-82B1-S-10-0253 on or about March 29, 2010, for the RECOVERY D3 Grinding and Removal of Landing Piles, Fortine Ranger District. If the Request for Quote is released, it will be released through this FedBizOpps website, and prospective vendors should visit this FedBizOpps website from time to time on or after March 29, 2010 to obtain a copy of the Request for Quote. This requirement is being solicited as a fixed price Request for Quote (RFQ) using Simplified Acquisition Procedures under FAR Part 13. Quotes are due at 2:00 p.m. MST April 26, 2010. PROJECT DESCRIPTION. This contract requires grinding and removal of landing piles in accordance with its terms, specifications and provisions PROJECT LOCATION. The work is located on The Fortine Ranger District of the Kootenai National Forest. All future information about this acquisition, including amendments, will be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Vendors are required to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) http:www.ccr.gov or call 888-227-2423 or 269-961-5757 and shall complete the On-Line Registration and Certifications Application (ORCA) http://orca.bpn.gov. All responsible sources may submit a response to this announcement which will be considered by this agency.
