- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command Aircraft Division (NAVAIR-AD), Patuxent River, Maryland has a requirement for a total of eighteen (18) MIDS Control Panel, Unit Part Number 05-0567-7821-002-01, including hardware assembly, inspection, functional test, and shipping. The contractor will deliver the first four(4) MIDS Control Panels five(5) months after receipt of order. Thereafter, four(4) MIDS Control Panels will be delivered monthly (up to the total of eighteen.) The contractor shall fabricate, inspect, test and ship eighteen (18) MIDS Control Panel Unit Part Number 05-0567-7821-002-01 upon completion to NAVAIR. Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) is the only known source available with the hardware to produce the requirements described herein. NAVAIR-AD intends to negotiate solely with SAIC for the above items with an anticipated award date of Oct 1, 2010. This effort will be procured pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will satify agency requirements. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which may be considered by the agency. The Government solely for the purpose of determining whether to initiate a competitive procurement will consider all information received. Technical capability will be determined solely on the content and merit of the information submitted in response to this provision. Therefore, it is incumbent of the interested party to provide sufficient technical literature, documentation, etc., in order for the Government to make an adequate technical assessment. The Government reserves the right to process the procurement on a sole source basis for the brand specific item based upon the responses received. Inspection and Acceptance shall be at destination. Offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to submission of an offer to be considered for award of any DOD contract. This may be accomplished electronically at http://www.ccr.gov/vendor.cfm.
