- Description
- The Naval Inventory Control Point - Mechanicsburg intends to award a sole source contract to Vegasoft OY for the annual software maintenance of NAVSISA's Vegasoft TCP/IP software licenses. Vegasoft terminated their Distributor Agreement with their only United States authorized reseller, TACT. Presently, Vegasoft is the sole provider for the software product, support and maintenance of Vega TCP/IP. This is not a request for quotation nor an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation. Requests for copies of a solicitation will not be honored or acknowledged. The maximum length of the proposed contract will be 36 months, or 3 years (a base year with two one-year option periods). The resulting contract will be firm-fixed priced and negotiation will be conducted using other than full and open competition pursuant to the statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 541511. Numbered Note 22 applies.
