- Solicitation Number W56HZV-09-R-0460 is restricted to Honeywell Technology Solutions, Inc in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, procurment by other than full and open competition is necessary because Honeywell is the only known contractor who has the manufacturing expertise and logistic management skills to successfully perform the critical service of providing sustainment for the Mobile Parts Hospital. This anticipated award will result in a one year Time and Materials contract with the opportunity for two 100% options. The MPH is a self-contained, self-sustaining mobile manufacturing system of systems that efficiently fabricates standard and unique parts at or near the point of need to enhance Soldier readiness. There are currently 3 MPH units deployed in SWA; Kuwait, Camp Arifjan; Iraq, Camp Anaconda and Afghanistan, Bagram Air Force Base. There are plans to deploy another MPH system to Camp Kandahar. Although this solicitation will be restricted to Honeywell, all responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered.
