- Description THIS IS AN AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA) PROCUREMENT. The resulting contract will utilize funds provided by the AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA) OF 2009. Interested parties are notified that the inclusion of unique provisions required in implementing the Act, including those for significant reporting and transparency, will be required of the successful bid. The purpose of this announcement is to make notice that the Forest Service contemplates releasing a Invitation for Bid numbered AG-82B1-S-10-0236 on or about March 30, 2010, for the RECOVERY Recreation Site Water Deferred Maintenance, San Juan National Forest. If the Invitation For Bid is released, it will be released through this FedBizOpps website, and prospective vendors should visit this FedBizOpps website from time to time on or after March 30, 2010 to obtain a copy of the Invitation for Bid. This requirement is being solicited as an Invitation for Bid (IFB) under FAR Part 14. Bids are due at April 29, 2010; 1:00 p.m. Mountain Time. A single firm-fixed price type contract will be awarded to the responsible Bidder (IAW FAR Part 9, Contractor Qualifications) whose bid is of the lowest price. PROJECT DESCRIPTION. Repair and maintenance of recreation facility water and wastewater systems located across the San Juan National Forest. Repair and maintenance work shall include drinking water systems (water supply, treatment, distribution systems and associated buildings) and sanitary wastewater systems (wastewater collection and disposal, disposal and storage systems, system structures, and toilet buildings). Work items may include plumbing, electrical, carpentry, roofing, masonry, locksmith, painting, sign installation, concrete, mechanical, excavation, aggregate supply and placement, fencing, water well maintenance, water well abandonment. The magnitude of this project IAW FAR 36.204 (c) is between $250,000 and $500,000. There will not be a pre-bid meeting for this requirement. The recommended contract length is 720 days. Projected start date is May 15, 2010. Performance and Payments will be required per the miller Act and Davis-Bacon wage rates will apply. PROJECT LOCATION. This project shall incorporate developed recreation sites within the San Juan National Forest. The project area is located in southwestern Colorado on San Juan National Forest developed recreation sites located in the vicinity of the following towns: Bayfield, Dolores, Mancos, Cortez, Pagosa Springs, Rico, Mancos, Dove Creek, Silverton and Durango. All future information about this acquisition, including amendments, will be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Vendors are required to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) http:www.ccr.gov or call 888-227-2423 or 269-961-5757 and shall complete the On-Line Registration and Certifications Application (ORCA) http://orca.bpn.gov. All responsible sources may submit a response to this announcement which will be considered by this agency.
