Description
The following project will be issued on or about the middle of May 2010. The information below is the only information we are able to release at this time. Please do not ask for additional information until the RFP is released. The work consists in general of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, supervision and any related services for constructing improvements to the existing campus wide electrical system for the purpose of improving the reliability and safety of the electrical system and for upgrading the capacity of the electrical system. The work includes, but is not limited to, providing and installing new 15-kV switchgears, substations, load centers, feeder loop circuits, and feeder loop switches; disconnecting, removing and disposing of existing 12.47-kV to 4.16-kV switchgears, substations, and load centers; providing and installing new incoming 12.47 kV feeder circuits, 600-volt switchboards, panel-boards, motor control centers, step-down transformers and disconnect switches. The work also includes, but is not limited to, excavating, trenching, traffic control, modifications to existing architectural and structural elements such as walls, ceilings, and doors; modifications and upgrades to PG&E wooden service poles; providing and installing site and building space lighting, manholes, and duct-banks. •ü Project is unrestricted procurement. •ü 100% design will be provided. •ü Project cost range: $10,000,000 and $25,000,000. •ü Award will go the firm that offers the government the "best value" using the source selection/trade-off process.
