- The Naval Facilities Engineering Command Sealift Support Program Office intends to award a sole source contract to Metal Trades Inc., 4194 Highway 165, Yonges island, SC 29449 for the fabrication, and testing of one(1) Improved Navy Lighterage System (INL) Combination Module (CM) and one INLS Docking Module (DM). Companies interested in subcontracting opportunities should contact Metal Trades Inc directly at 843-889-6442. This procurement will be a firm-fixed-price. The period of performance is from July 2010 to June 30, 2012. This requirement consists of the fabrication, and production testing of one (1) INLS Combination Module and one (1) INLS Docking Modules. The two modules are components of the INLS Roll-On Roll-Off Discharge Facility (RRDF). The RRDF is a floating platform 240 foot long by 72 foot wide consisting of 7 CMs and 1 DM and is used to transfer rolling stock and containers from the Maritime Preposition Force ship to the Causeway Ferry. Metal Trades Inc is the Original Equipment Manufacturer and is the only source that meets the requisite time frame and cost vital needed to successfully meet the requirement.
