Description
This is for Recovery Act Project. 630A4-09-405, Renovate Supply, Processing and Distribution @ NY Harbor Healthcare System, 800 Poly Place, Brooklyn, NY 11209 The following is the SOW for this project: Gut rehabilitation of approximately 9000 square feet of space to accommodate the new Supply, Processing, and Distribution (SPD) Department Satellite Area and additional auxiliary support spaces on the 4th floor North East wing of Building 1. Other construction contracts may run concurrently to this one. Work includes, but is not limited to, demolition of existing partitions, doors, and door frames, plumbing and lighting fixtures. Work also to include new HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and lighting, fire suppression system, security system, and modification of medical gas system, as specified in the construction documents. Construct cart wash room and sterile supply storage room. Also construct new decontamination room and clean/sterile room with a locker room area including a bathroom and shower, and auxiliary support rooms for the area. SPD equipments such as Sterilizers, Pass-thru washers, Sonic Washers, ETOs will also be installed. Construction will also include new casework, lockers, metro-wire shelving on casters, stainless steel cabinets, and countertops as shown on the construction documents. Work also includes construction of new male and female locker rooms as shown on the construction documents. Construct new Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) and its support spaces as shown on the construction documents. Perform Asbestos abatement as specified in the construction documents after hours or on weekends on occupied areas. Construction work to be done in phases. Contractor cannot begin next phase until prior phase is completed. Phasing is specified in the contract drawings. Contractor must conform to NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, NFPA 99 Healthcare Facilities, and current Infection Control and VA Standards and Criteria as per the contract specifications. Completion Time: 450 Calendar Days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed NAICS: 236220RANGE: $5,000,000.00 - $10,000,000.00 Please note that Bid Bonds and Performance and Payment Bonds will be required and the bidders must have the bonding capacity for this project. Specifications & Drawings will be posted on line with the solicitation for your viewing & download. No copies of the specs & drawings will be sent from this office, if requested. The bidder is responsible for monitoring and downloading any amendments from FedBizOpps, https://www.fbo.gov that may be issued to this solicitation. There may be a pre-construction conference held for this project, if so all prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Details of any pre-construction conference will be included in the solicitation package. In accordance with Public Law 109-461, the Veterans Benefits, Healthcare and Information Technology Act of 2006, Pursuant to 38 USC8127(d), this construction project is set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSBs). SDVOSBs are eligible to submit bids under this solicitation. All prospective contractors must be registered on the VetBiz website, http://www.vetbiz.gov, to be considered for award. In accordance with FAR 52.204-7, Required Central Contractor Registration and in accordance with FAR 2.101, VAAR 802.101 VetBiz Registration, prospective firms must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and in the VetBiz databases prior to award as a SDVOSB firm or a VOSB firm, and must have current record in the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) prior to bid opening.
