- Notice Details Solicitation Number: 200-2006-N-08835-6 Notice Type: Presolicitation THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY UNDER THE AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA) PROGRAM. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (NCCDPHP), Division of Adult and Community Health (DACH), Office of the Director - American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). The services required hereunder are contained within the Small Business multiple award, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contracts for Technical and Management Services (TAMS). The purpose of this task order is to provide specialized technical consultation and assistance in the management and implementation of Communities Putting Prevention to Work (CPPW) activities to effectively implement policybased interventions for improved health behaviors and chronic disease outcomes. Policy-based interventions are to have a large scale impact on increasing levels of physical activity; improving nutrition; reducing overweight and obesity prevalence; decreasing smoking prevalence and reducing teen smoking initiation; and reducing exposure to secondhand smoke. The tasks involves: 1) technical assistance; 2) review and analyses; 3) networking; training; policy interpretations of regulations, statutes and impact; 4) guidelines development and recommendations; 5) presentations; 6) reports; and 7) writing and editing; and 8) literary reviews. This is not a request for competitive proposals, nor is a solicitation available. The Request for Task Order Proposal (RFTP) will be issued to the multiple award contract holders: Reeves and Associates Contract # 200-2008-23701, Carter Consultants Contract # 200-2008-23702, Scimetrika Contract # 200-2008-23703, and DB Consultants #200-2008-23704 in accordance with FAR 16.505 Ordering. Please direct all questions regarding this requirement in writing to the Point of Contact identified in the synopsis. Period of Performance: Thirty-Six (36) months from date of award.
