- Bureau of Reclamation, Great Plains Regional Office, intends to solicit quotations for Carbaryl spraying services to provide protection from Mountain Pine Beetle attack at Canyon Ferry Reservoir recreation sites. The work under the solicitation consists of the furnishing of all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, supplies and incidentals needed to satisfactorily perform all work required for the spraying, including the appropriate mix of Carbaryl. Offerors are urged to inspect the site where services are to be performed, and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance. Failure by prospective offerors to inspect the site will not relieve the offerors from the responsibility of properly estimating the difficulty or cost of successfully performing the work in accordance with the contract requirements. Detailed information regarding site visit coordination will be included in the solicitation. Canyon Ferry Reservoir is located approximately 15 miles east of Helena, Montana in Lewis & Clark County. Pursuant to Part 12 and Part 13 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations, Reclamation will issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) on or around March 16, 2010. Quotes will be due on or around March 31, 2010. The RFQ will be issued as a total small business set-aside under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 561730. The applicable Small Business Size Standard is $7.0 million. The RFQ will be available for viewing through electronic commerce. RFQ Number R10PS60253 will be issued via https://www.fbo.gov, at the link provided in this notice. Interested vendors may also check Reclamation's website at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. The RFQ and any subsequent amendments and/or notices will be available to vendors on these websites after March 16, 2010. Hard copies will be available upon request. Vendors are reminded they must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and in the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) to be considered for contract award. Registrations can be completed by going to www.ccr.gov and https://orca.bpn.gov/. The vendor's Duns & Bradstreet number and banking information are required for registration. All responsible sources who submit a timely quote will be considered for this acquisition. Quotes may be submitted electronically or faxed to (406) 247-7798.
