- Description
- Wheelchair Van Services: The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, University & Woodland Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19104, has a requirement for wheelchair van services. Contractor shall provide all vans and supervision required to furnish complete wheelchair van services to VA patients. This contract shall cover the area within and beyond the boundaries of Philadelphia including New Jersey, Baltimore, MD, Wilmington DE, etc.(total listing in Solicitation pkg). The contract shall be for one (1) year from date of award with three (3) one year options to renew. This solicitation will be an RFP (Request for Proposal); all proposals will be sent in two parts, one containing the technical information and one with the pricing. The services will be twenty-four (24) hours seven (7) days a week on an as needed basis (including holidays). A mode 9 transportation vehicle maybe required on occasions, all vehicles and personnel (Drivers) must be licensed in the State of Pennsylvania. Vehicles must be equipped with oxygen, air conditioning, heat, sufficient devices to securely strap the wheelchairs down properly, be clean inside and out; drivers should be certified in CPR; vehicles should be capable of holding a 500 pound patient if ever needed. Veterans will be picked up from their residence and brought to the VA Medical Center as required. The NACIS (North American Classification Industry System) code is 485991. The estimated cost range for this procurement is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The procurement will be open to Veteran owned small businesses or Small Disadvantage Veteran Owned Small Business only. All prospective bidders must be registered in the CCR (Contractor Central Registry), VetBiz Registry. The tentative date for downloading the solicitation shall be April 16, 2010 with a closing date May 17, 2010. ALL PROPOSALS MUST BE MAILED TO THIS OFFICE.
