- -NOTIFICATION UPDATE- ****************PLEASE NOTIFY PAUL LEWIS BY EMAIL ONCE YOU HAVE REGISTERED AT: paul.f.lewis@usps.gov; PUT IN THE SUBJECT BOX EMPTORIS REGISITERED**************** This is not a solicitation only a request for information. The United States Postal Service (USPS) anticipates issuing a solicitation for pharmaceutical products and services in the near future and is actively conducting market research to identify prospective suppliers who are capable of providing the following products and services: PRODUCTS: 1.Ciprofloxacin 500mg – 34,990 boxes of 100 pills each consisting of 10 blister packs with each containing 10 pills or equivalent in bottles at a competitive price. 2.Doxycycline 100mg – 12,380 boxes of 100 pills each consisting of 10 blister packs with each containing 10 pills or equivalent in bottles at a competitive price. 3.The New expiration dates should a minimum shelf life of 24-months; however, a 48-month shelf life is preferred. SERVICES: 1.The prospective supplier will Purchase and Distribute antibiotics and make Post-Exposure Prophylactic (PEP) to multiple USPS health department personnel at various types of Points of Distribution (POD) faster, safer, and more accurate with simple record keeping, minimal reporting and contamination errors. 2.The prospective supplier will handle Return and/or Destruction of antibiotic caches that are nearing expiration. The supplier shall, if possible, be part of the Pharmaceutical Returns Management Program. The USPS is seeking a guarantee of maximum credit for all return items and limited cost for all items sent for destruction. 3.If a solicitation is issued and an award is made, the USPS would like to work with a sole source provider who can provide both services, but may make multiple awards REGISTRATION: All interested suppliers will need to register at the following site: https://uspsesourcing.emptoris.com For assistance, contact Emptoris Support at 1 (888) 791-3069, or via e-mail at support@emptoris.com Only those suppliers who are registered will receive a solicitation package
