Description

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District intends to award a contract to HRP North America, Inc. 419 Avenue of the States Chester, PA 19013-4451 for the purchase of four (4) transmitters for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers vessel CURRITUCK. This sole source award is in the Government's best interest because the HRP transmitters are the only direct replacement transmitters for the HRP control system on the CURRITUCK. To change to another manufacturer's transmitter would require the Government to replace the vessel's control system at an estimated cost to exceed the cost of acquiring the HRP transmitters as specified by this requirement. The statutory authority for this sole source action is FAR 6.302-1(c) Brand Name.
