- Description
- The Mobile District Corps of Engineers intends to issue a new firm fixed price contract for five (5) types of buoys. All buoys approximately 14 diameter X 30 high and 28 diameter X 12 high float collar, completely filled with polyurethane foam with ABS plastic exterior - no exceptions. Overall height 89 inches, external concrete ballast encased in black ABS plastic attached to buoy with 1-1/2 schedule 40 steel pipe & 2 ea. 5/8 diameter steel mooring eyes 2-1/4 inside diameter minimum @ 180 degrees welded to 2 pipe. Center of mooring eyes approx. 2-1/2 below the bottom of buoy. Pipe & mooring eye assembly hot dipped galvanized. All buoys have a hot-dipped galvanized pick-up eye (Eyenut drilled with 5/8 bail) at the top attached to inch steel rod. Buoys are self-righting without tackle weight. Submerged can buoys buoyancy - 350 lbs. Nun buoys sub. buoyancy 325 lbs. Draft - 51 Exposure - 36 with 29 lbs tackle. WARRANTY Buoys shall come with standard (1) one year Manufacturer warranty. Include copy of warranty with bid. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this procurement is 326199; the size standard for which is 500 employees. The solicitation will be issued as a direct download at the Federal Business Opportunity (FBO) website: http://www.fbo.gov on or about 12 March 2010. All prospective bidders must be registered in FBO prior to downloading solicitation information. The solicitation will not be provided in a printed paper format; therefore, it is the offerors responsibility to check the website for any changes to the solicitation.
