Sources Sought for companies that are 8(a), HUB Zone or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business with relevant experience as a Contractor position for Center for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Education: the contractor shall design, create, implement, and assess STEM outreach projects in support of the goals of the Army Educational Outreach Program, support USMA Admissions through STEM outreach, To facilitate and conduct scholarly research on K-12 and undergraduate education in STEM and serves as Director of Outreach for CSE. At the Department of Civil and Mechanical Engineering, United States Military Academy (USMA), West Point, New York 10996. In order to be successful in this position, an applicant must have a broad range of skills and experience. Specific skills desired for this position include: Understanding of, and ability to interact productively with, Army and Department of Defense educational outreach programs. Outstanding interpersonal skills and communication skills that will reflect favorably on the Army and West Point. Ability to use computer graphics, photo editing, and presentation software to enhance CSE outreach efforts. Ability to plan, coordinate, and direct the implementation of the West Point Bridge Design Contest (WPBDC) a national, internet based engineering competition for high-school and middle school students. In-depth knowledge of the WPBDC goals, procedures, functions, information technology infrastructure, and logistics.Ability to operate the WPBDC website, manage the contest database, manage approximately 100 local contests, manage all legal issues associated with the contest, coordinate national-level publicity and communication with teachers and school administrators, and plan all aspects of a complex on-site final round competition at West Point. All deliverables will be provided in hardcopy and electronic format to the CSE Director. These include: CSE Strategic Communications Plan, WPBCD After Action Report, CSE Annual Report.
