Description
Required Characteristics This is a Combined Synopsis/ Solicitation for Commercial Items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This Solicitation numbered N68335-10-T-0013 is issued as a Request for Quote to purchase one thousand (1,000) Nickel Plated Hoist Rings with imporved corrosion resistance in support of nine (9) unique pieces of support equipment. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 332510. This requirement is a total (100%) Small Business Set Aside; only those firms meeting the size standard will be considered. The Contractor shall extend to the Government full coverage of any standard commercial warranty normally offered in a similar commercial sale. Acceptance of the warranty does not waive the Government’s right under the inspection clause nor does it limit the Government’s rights with regard to the other terms and conditions of this contract. In the event of a conflict, the terms and conditions of the contract shall take precedence over the warranty. This warranty period shall begin upon final acceptance of the applicable deliverable. Products quoted must adhere to the minimum needs of the Government. The offeror shall submit commercial product literature that shows that the product being offered meets the minimum specifications of Attachment 1, Hoisting Ring Required Characteristics. As stated on FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items, award will be made to the responsible offeror whose offer is the low price, technically acceptable. All items shall be preserved, packaged, packed, and marked in accordance with best commercial practices. Delivery shall commence within seven (7) weeks after contract award. Items will be shipped to: NAVAIR Lakehurst, RT 547, Bldg 195/Hanger 6, Lakehurst, NJ 08733, FOB DESTINATION. Inspection and acceptance will be at Destination. The provision at FAR 52.212-2 Para (a) Award will be made to the lowest priced, technically acceptable offeror. Offerors will be evaluated on a pass/fail basis. Quotations that do not conform to the requirements of the solicitation may be rejected without further evaluation, deliberation or discussion. The offeror shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3 OFFEROR REPRESENTATIONS AND CERTIFICATION COMMERCIAL ITEMS with the quote (August 2009). FAR 52.212-4 CONTRACT TERMS AND CONDITIONS-COMMERCIAL ITEMS (FEB 2010) is incorporated by reference and applies to this acquisition. The provision at FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Expectative Orders-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition.
