- THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS UNDER SERVICE DISABLED VETERANS OWNED SMALL BUSINESS PROGRAM FOR CONSTRUCTION NAICS CODE 236220. The Department of Veterans Affairs Ann Arbor Healthcare System, 2215 Fuller Road, Ann Arbor, Michigan 48105 anticipates soliciting bids and subsequently awarding a contract for the construction project known as "CLC Dining Room." The solicitation will be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 14 (Sealed Bidding) and Part 36 (Construction) and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures therein. The solicitation will be advertised as a Total Set-Aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and travel necessary to perform all work under this project which consists of: The contractor shall provide all labor and materials necessary in order to complete the CLC dining room renovation. This project will include but is not limited to: demolition, architectural, electrical, structural, plumbing, HVAC, and glazing work needed to complete this project as per plans and specifications. Contractor shall completely prepare site for solarium construction that will have to be approved by the resident engineer; concrete, footings, structure, sealing, expansion joint, glazing and fin tubing. Glazing on solarium shall be " clear laminate, 1/2" air space, and " clear tempered on the exterior (see drawings for details). Contractor shall also do a heat load test for the new radiant heat loop to be installed, to determine adequate sizing of fin tubing, and review with resident engineer before installing. Contractor shall also install four quadruplex hospital grade outlets within the solarium ran in approved conduit. Prior to any construction, contractor shall submit three copies of submittals (spec sheets) of all products to the COTR for review and approval/disproval of products that were not specified. The period of performance is 120 calendar days for the entire project. The cost range of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. NAICS Code: 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. The solicitation documents including specifications and drawings will be issued on or about March 26, 2010. Site visit information will be provided upon issuance of the solicitation. Only one site visit will be conducted. Bids will be due 30 days after issuance of the solicitation. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for submission of offers. The Government is not obligated to issue a solicitation as a result of this notice. No other information is available until issuance of the solicitation. No bidder list is maintained by the Contracting Office. All potential bidders should register on this website as interested vendors.
