Description
RECOVERY--SUIATTLE ROAD REPAIR & MAINTENANCE THIS IS AN AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT OF 2009 (ARRA) PROCUREMENT RECOVERY-SUIATTLE ROAD REPAIR & MAINTENANCE, MT BAKER SNOQUALMIE NATIONAL FOREST, WASHINGTON. The purpose of this announcement is to make notice that the Forest Service contemplates releasing a solicitation numbered AG-0489-S-10-0314 on or about March 29, 2010, for the SUIATTLE ROAD REPAIR & MAINTENANCE Project. If the solicitation is released, it will be released through this FedBizOpps website, and prospective bidders should visit this FedBizOpps website from time to time on or after March 29, 2010, to obtain a copy of the solicitation. This notice meets the requirements of FAR 5.201. However, the Forest Service reserves the right not to release a solicitation. PROJECT DESCRIPTION. The U.S. Forest Service, EROC-NW, servicing Region 6 has a requirement for SUIATTLE ROAD REPAIR & MAINTENANCE. This project consists of road repairs and upgrades of drainage structures along Forest Road (FSR) 26, Suiattle River Road on the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest (Darrington Ranger District). The project Base Bid and Option Items includes but is not limited to the removal of existing culverts, installation of new culverts, riprap, retaining wall construction, gabion wall construction, asphalt patching, asphalt surface treatment, and flagging lane and road closures. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation and supplies, and perform all work required to repair the road according to the drawings and specifications of the contract. In addition Optional bid items for Roads 2640, 2680, 25 and 27 may be awardedf furnishing and installing a pre-fabricated bridge superstructure (including concrete sills, back walls, decking surface& object markers), mobilization, soil erosion & pollution control, clearing & grubbing, culvert replacement, and other additional and related activities. The contractor shall supply all services, labor, equipment and material, supervision, transportation, operating supplies, and incidentals except those items, if any, listed as Government-furnished property needed to perform the following: SUIATTLE ROAD REPAIR & MAINTENANCE in compliance with its terms, specifications, and provisions. The magnitude of construction for this acquisition is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.00. The Government intends to award a negotiated firm fixed price contract. PARTICIPATION. This project is 100% set aside for Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUBZONE). The North American Classification System Code (NAICS) is 237310. The size standard is $33.5 Million. Contractors are required to be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA). Contractors are a required to be certified by the Small Business Administration, registered with the Central Contract Registration (CCR) and the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA). The solicitation with specifications and Davis Bacon Contract Act wage rates will be posted to the FedBizOps website www.fbo.gov. REGISTRATIONS. In order to receive any contract award, a vendor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA).
