Facility Upgrade 2010, Corpus Christi Airport Traffic Control Tower Corpus Christi, TX The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking competent and qualified General Contractors interested in providing offers for the work associated with the upgrade of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airport Traffic Control Tower (ATCT) Facility, 6902 McGloin Road, Corpus Christi TX. The work will consists of but is not limited to: a. Install Base Building Foundation Damproofing and Drain Systemb. Replace Exterior Doors, Frames and Hardware on tower and Base Buildingc. Replace Door 403 in Tower.d. Replace ESU Door 105 (Overhead Metal Door)e. Seal and Insulate Gaps in Louver at J4.f. Replace Window Pane are room J5g. Tower Cab Roof replacementh. Replace roof access doors.i. Remove and reinstall metal flashing at base of cab windows replacing sealant.j. Remove and Reinstall Storefront at Base Building Room 124 replacing gaskets and sealant.k. Base Building Roof replacement.l. Base Building Skylight Replacementm. Install Flashing at Concrete Canopiesn. Building ESU Roof replacemento. Clean, Prep and Paint Tower (Prime coat and 2 top coats)p. Install Angle supports at Cable Access Catwalkq. Remove and replace all sealants on base building faade joints.r. Clean, Prep and Paint Steel Embed on south faade of Base Building. (Prime coat and 2 top coats)s. Clean, Prep and Paint Base Building and ESU (Prime coat and 2 top coats)t. Remove and Reinstall Cab Glass Defogger System replacing all sealant, support bars and Fasteners.u. Replace stained ceiling tiles.v. Replace Tower Accent lighting.w. Remove abandoned vent through roof (2 ea at 4" dia.) and patch decking.x. Redress Landscape as necessary to return to like new condition.y. Fill penetration in south wall of ESU building with expanded foam insulation and cap metal pipe. 2 ea at 6" dia. Contract performance time is 120 days. This is a Small Business Set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 236220 and the small business size standard is $33.5 Million. The dollar range for this project is between $750,000.00 and $1,000,000.00 A mandatory (pre-bid) meeting will be conducted; date and time are provided in the solicitation. All interested contractors must attend this site visit in order to qualify for contract award. Further information is contained in the solicitation package. Contractor is expected to perform at least 15% of the work utilizing the contractor's own employees. Contractor MUST be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) before contract award and have this NAICS code in their profile. Contractors can register on-line at http://www.ccr.gov/. "This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
