- Description
- The Fort Worth District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has a requirement to perform certain work in the Powerhouse at Sam Rayburn Lake near Jasper, Texas. The work will be funded with funds provided under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). Work requirements include all work necessary to rehabilitate the existing 150 ton rated bridge crane at the Sam Rayburn Powerhouse near Jasper, Texas. This includes design, testing and all work necessary to upgrade and certify the crane to a 160 ton rating. As part of the work, the contractor will be required to comply with lead based paint and asbestos removal and disposal procedures, as well as environmental protection and safety and health provisions. This work will take place at a working hydroelectric plant, and therefore, strict controls will be placed on the contractor's access and activities. This description is not all inclusive, but only an overview of some the major work requirements of the project. The solicitation will be issued on or about 17 Mar 10 as a Lowest Priced Technically Acceptable (LPTA) procurement with Request for Proposal (RFP). There will not be a public bid opening. Plans and specifications will not be available in paper format or on compact disc. Contractors may view and/or download the solicitation and all Amendments only at the following internet address: www.fbo.gov. It is the offerors responsibility to monitor the FBO website (using the above link) for Amendments to the solicitation. Use of this website requires prior registration in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) databases. You may register with CCR at http://ccr.gov/. Once youve completed the CCR registration, you may register in FBO at www.fbo.gov. You must be registered with CCR to receive a Government contract award.
