- Recovery Project - Gate Maintenance DESCRIPTION: The majority of work on this project will involve repairs and maintenance to Forest Service Road gates located throughout the Monongahela National Forest. A small portion of the project will be to remove, fabricate, and install new steel gates. Repairs and maintenance includes - removing existing signs and returning to the Forest Service, - adjusting tension on crossarms/turnbuckles, - removal of paint, scale and rust to base metal in preparation for painting - applying prime and finish coats of paint - installing signs GOVERNMENT COST ESTIMATE: Between $250,000 - $500,000. LOCATION: Monongahela National Forest, WV. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE AND SITE VISIT INFORMATION: Contract time will be 365 calendar days from the effective date of the Notice to Proceed. Site visit is planned for early May 2010 and will be announced in solicitation documents posted to www.fbo.gov toward the end of March 2010. CONTRACTOR QUALIFICATIONS: Contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry and must have completed a profile in the Online-Representations and Certifications database prior to award of a contract. Registration may be completed on the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov/. Vendors must also be registered in ORCA (Online Representations and Certifications) prior to contract award, and may accomplish this on the Internet at http://www.bpn.gov. You must be registered in CCR and have an MPIN number before you can begin ORCA registration. Be sure to include NAICS 238990 in your registrations on both sites. SET-ASIDE: This project advertised for full and open competition in accordance with FAR 19.1007. The NAICS code for this project is 238990; the small business size standard is $14 million. SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS: Solicitation AG-4419-S-10-0493 and related documents will be issued via FedBizOpps and will be available for downloading around the end of March at the website address: http://www.fbo.gov/. All potential contractors and subcontractors should register on the FedBizOpps website as an Interested Vendor. The online Interested Vendors list will be the only such list maintained for this procurement.
